Klipfell-Wingard Gift of Time Volunteer of the Year Award

In 2013, the Klipfell-Wingard Gift of Time Award was created to honor members who have given outstanding volunteer service to the Chamber as well as other organizations, events and/or causes.

The first recipients were John Klipfell and Lucille Wingard for whom the award is named. Both have been tireless in their volunteerism and given countless hours to the Chamber of Commerce and the community for many years.

John has spearheaded numerous community activities and is the founder of the Believe in Ohio Program, which helps high school students to build STEM Commercialization Plans and Business Plans enroute to becoming the Ohio entrepreneurs of the future.

Before her passing in July 2015, Lucille raised funds for countless organizations including the Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater, and organized events of all kinds for many more including the Chamber, the Lions Club and American Business Women's Association to name a few.

Both John and Lucille were honored with this award as the ultimate examples of selfless giving of time, talent and resources for the benefit of others.

The Klipfell-Wingard Award winners are chosen by the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Broadview Heights and awards are presented at the Annual Dinner each fall.
